Block 4: The Dynamic Ocean

The Dynamic Ocean

Constant Motion of the Oceans
The Earth is not a static situation. It is constantly moving, rotating on its axis, changing its orientation with the sun and changing the angle of its relationship with the sun.

These constant changes create a dynamic situation with heating effects, winds and ocean currents. Climate changes occur based on latitude, elevation, topography and the closeness of large bodies of water.

All these interactions create massive ocean currents which then create an oceanic environment that is in constant, massive change.
