It's a Long Trip!


That was then...
Now we have Hubble
Think about how it must have seemed to early civilizations. The sky had this huge, bright object moving around, seldom being in the same place. At night, another bright thing, always moving, then constantly changing shape as it moved through this field of bright dots in the dark sky.

Soon they developed ways to map the objects and mathematically predict where they were going to be. Patterns emerged and order appeared out of seeming chaos.

Once Galileo invented a usable telescope the whole thing grew rapidly in both distance and how many things were present. Now we have Hubble and we are seeing further into infinity.


ASSIGNMENT:

1. Watch each of the following videos. List five facts from each of them. Include and highlight the most important vocabulary in the video.
