Block 13: Touring Our Solar System

Exploring the Solar System

Our Solar System is an immense community of the Sun, terrestrial planets, gas planets and an uncounted number of asteroids. We also get periodic visits from comets of many sizes and types.

We see evidence from the Earth and Moon that all parts of the Solar System share a common origin, possibly coming from a nebular cloud of dust.

We have landed men on the moon and sent devices to Mars and through the outer limits of the Solar System. Currently we are planning manned trips to Mars, and after that, who knows?
