Block 12: Greatest Discoveries in Earth Science

There's Always Something New

If we stop learning, we stop making progress. And if we aren't
progressing, life gets stagnant.
Once Galileo discovered the telescope, our knowledge of the universe began to expand rapidly. As we learned and began to understand the magnificence of "what's out there," our imagination began expanding, and we started plans and activities to explore places outside the Earth.

Sometimes in our highly technological society we forget how we got here. Hundreds of years ago, even thousands, scientists were generating ideas and creating instruments that were part  of the system of putting men on the moon and rovers on Mars.
