Block 10: Debate Over Climate Change

Normal or Not?



There is no doubt that climate change occurs. The continuing debate  centers on who or what is the cause of climate change. The next big issue focuses on the results of climate change. Will it create a global disaster or will the results be hardly noticed.

From  polar bears to politicians, this controversy has turned into major conflict, often resulting in angry exchanges and protests.

ASSIGNMENT:

You assignment is to write a mini-research paper addressing the following main points regarding climate change.

  1. What is climate change and what are the evidences it is occurring?
  2. What are the two conflicting views of the cause of climate change? (i.e. human or natural?)
  3. What are some possible actions to reverse or slow down climate change?
  4. What is your view regarding this debate? (support your view with logic)

Logistical Notes:

  1. Your paper must be typed, 12-pt font, Times New Roman, double spaced, 1-inch margins.
  2. You may include images in your paper. 
  3. Be sure and include proper referencing for text and images.
  4. Use correct grammar and spelling.
  5. An informal poll of individuals may be included but is not required.
DUE DATE: This paper is due during the week of April 29 to May 3.

Google, YouTube and your text will be beneficial research tools.
